Rachel Godby

Rachel Godby, age 73, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 at her home.
Rachel was born in Salinas, California on April 28th 1950 to the late Henry Montano and Alicia Escobedo of Castroville, California.
She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed cross stitching, traveling, visiting the beach and time outdoors. She was a fan of Betty Boop and frogs. She loved her animals, most of all she cherished her family.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lena Godby.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her partner of over 20 years, Gary Weddle; father of her children, Donald Godby, her sons, Kristopher Godby (Kimberly) of Ferguson, Ky; Thomas Godby (Rachel) of Ravenna, Ky; daughter, Nicole Godby (Rufino Benitez) of Somerset, Ky; sisters, Anita Chavez (Edward) of CA; Diane Patton (Lloyd) of ID; grandchildren, Robert Godby, Mikayla Willis, Dakota Godby (Linsey), Brooklynn Reynolds (Devin), Caiden Godby, Natalie Godby, Owen Godby, Olivia Godby, Logan Godby, great-grandchildren, Rowen Willis, Maverick Godby, nephew, Lloyd Patton Jr., great-nephew, Arthur Patton and 2 grand fur babies, Bambi and Ariel Godby.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31st, 2023 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral to begin at 1 P.M. with Father Carlos Martinez officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Rachel Godby.
