Rita S. Yanders, age 60, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Saturday, August 20, 2022 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Rita was born June 3, 1962 to Junior Price and Ruby Gossett Price in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed reading romance novels, sewing, Facebook, and loved making others laugh. Most of all she cherished her family.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Junior and Ruby Price and niece, Marina Price-Campbell.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 25 years, David Yanders, sons, David Lee Roberts and Shannon (Danielle) Yanders all of Somerset; daughter, Misty (Michael) Smith of Nicholasville, Ky; brothers, Donald Ray (Sharron) Price and Michael (Carrie) Price all of Somerset; sister, Vickie (Ryan) Smith of Harrodsburg, Ky; along with 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Rita S. Yanders.
