Stephen Wayne Hoard

Stephen Wayne Hoard of Bronston, KY passed from our world on September 15th, 2023. He succumbed to a battle with cancer. He was born to Patricia and Dennis Hoard on March 10th, 1954, in Columbus, IN. Steve learned how to work hard on the family farm, a skill he never forgot. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1972. Steve was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a police detective. He then served as an officer for Woodson Bend Resort. He worked for the Norfolk Southern Rail Company until starting his own business in 1987, in his favorite career and passion of auto body work. Steve had a reputation as an excellent car restoration and collision repair technician and businessman. He is survived by his mother, Patrica Hoard of Columbus Indiana, three sons: David Lee Hoard and Patricia of Bronston, KY; Brian Allen Hoard and Amy Lynn of Versailles, KY; Dennis Jacob Hoard and Amy Louise of Lawrenceburg, KY. His four siblings: a sister, Nancy Eastwood and Wesley; Ralph Hoard; Mitch Hoard and Jack Ngan; Paul Hoard and Brittany Smith. His five grandchildren: Emilee Hoard, Christopher Hoard, Jillian Hoard, Connor Hoard, Joe Shackleford and Cash Hoard. And his two great-grandchildren: Matteo and Amia Jenkins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, and father, Dennis Hoard. Private service will be held for close friends and family. To request invitation contact David, Brian, or Jake. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lake Cumberland Hospice in Steve’s name would be greatly appreciated.
