Sylvia Phillips, age 87, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Friday, June 17, 2022 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Sylvia was born June 17, 1935 to Roy Rose and Zina Alton Rose in Brammer Hill in Wayne County, Kentucky.
She was a member of Gospel Tabernacle Ministries Church and she enjoyed gardening, canning, flower gardening, baby sitting and care giving.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Zina Rose, her husband, Luied Phillip, daughter, Brenda Kay Brewer, brothers, JC Rose and Coy Rose, sister, Christine Tucker and son-in-law, Fred Brewer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Jerry Randall “Randy” (Glenda) Phillips of Somerset; Joshua Phillips of Somerset; daughters, Geraldine (Wendell) Bradford of Cumberland Furnace, TN; Amanda Dishman Phillips of Louisville, Ky; brother, Tilton Rose of Monticello, Ky; sisters, Alpha (Walter) Loper of Las Vegas, NV; Marie Tucker of Somerset; Darline (Troy) Rednour of Monticello, Ky; LeEtta (Bro. Denver) Godsey of Monticello, Ky; grandchildren, Courtney (Jason) Brown, Jordan Ryan Phillips, Justin Hawkins, Dustin Brewer and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 23, 2022 after 10 A.M. at the Gospel Tabernacle Ministries Church located on Bourbon Road in Somerset with a funeral service to begin at 11 A.M. at the church with Bro. Jeff Phillips and Sister Merlin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Phillips, Josh Phillips, Brian Rose, Glenn Rose, Tommy Courtney, David Wayne Phillips.
